Aamena was admitted as a legal practitioner in 2007.
Whilst studying law, Aamena gained a wide variety of experience as a paralegal in commercial law firms. After admission Aamena practised in the criminal law field where as a legal officer with the Queensland DPP she gained valuable Courtroom experience.
Aamena then joined a mid-tier private commercial firm in Sydney, assisting numerous Real Estate agents and landlords to enforce their rights under leases, to recover unpaid levies, recover damages for defective building work, recover legal costs, conduct insolvency, company winding up matters and bankruptcy proceedings etc.
Aamena joined the insolvency and debt collection team at Craddock Murray Neumann in 2009, managing a high volume practice on behalf of major corporate clients (including for a major insurer) and continues to conduct debt recoveries for landlords and Real Estate agents. Aamena regularly attends the Federal Court of Australia and the Local, District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales to conduct debt recoveries, insolvency litigation, company winding up matters and bankruptcy proceedings.
Aamena has a keen eye for detail, prepares her matters thoroughly, is well organised and conducts herself with ability in Court.
Aamena works closely with Khaled Metlej and is currently supervising a number of paralegals in her debt collection team. Aamena ensures work is done on time and to a high standard – and at the appropriate level. For example, much debt recovery work can be done competently by an appropriately qualified and supervised paralegal, and this enables us to charge highly competitive rates for our services.
Aamena is very approachable and enjoys a great relationship with all her clients – and just as importantly, Aamena deals with debtors respectfully and with confidence, and with a view to achieving a commercially viable result.
