Paul Boers has been a lawyer since 1990. He has worked exclusively in the area of family law since 1995.
 
Between 1999 and 2003 Paul was a Deputy Registrar of the Family Court of Australia.
 
Paul’s expertise has been recognised by the Law Society of NSW: he is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law.
 
As a expert in Family Law, Paul regularly presents lectures to other family lawyers at specialist seminars and at public/community legal education forums. 
 
Through his work as a Deputy Registrar of the Family Court and his extensive experience as a lawyer, Paul:
  • has detailed knowledge of Court processes
  • provides effective representation - he prepares his cases thoroughly and has an eye for detail
  • can predict the likely outcome of a case
  • can plan the best way to run a case. 
Paul is practical and sensible. He is an accredited mediator and collaborative law professional who can apply his negotiation skills to resolving matters by agreement.  
 
Paul has also worked for the Legal Aid Commission. He is a Director of the Inner City Legal Centre, Kings Cross. 
 
Paul’s extensive experience in the full range of family law matters includes:
  • negotiating complex financial agreements
  • de-facto cases
  • property disputes
  • claims for spousal support
  • child access and child protection matters
  • same sex relationship issues
  • parenting – including same sex parenting
  • surrogacy arrangements
  • artificial conception issues.

  • Accredited Mediator (IAMA)
