We were familiar with Stella before she joined our firm because we regularly met her in court in various bankruptcy and winding up matters, where she always impressed us as astute and competent.
When we interviewed Stella for her current position as a solicitor, she was able to answer a “trick question” which we sometimes ask of lawyers who apply for a position with the firm. Many lawyers we interview cannot.

Stella works primarily in the debt recovery and insolvency area. Stella has a thorough knowledge of debt recovery and insolvency law and excellent technical ability as a lawyer. Having worked as a paralegal whilst studying, Stella also has a detailed knowledge of court and litigation procedure including in the preparation of defended matters for hearing.
Stella has acted in many commercial litigation matters both whilst a law clerk and as a solicitor. In addition, she has an organised and efficient approach to legal practice which is essential if legal costs are to be minimised and proceedings prosecuted effectively.
Stella is currently part of our team acting for major insurers and for a Commonwealth Government department in debt and insolvency law matters. In addition, Stella is advising and acting for debtors including in disputes about liability arising from the use of consumer credit.
