Craddock Murray Neumann has a strong and enduring commitment to quality, from its management systems and reporting through to the delivery of outstanding personal service to clients. In order to maintain these high standards, and allow the legal teams to concentrate on the provision of legal services, the firm relies on a Practice Manager to handle the various management functions associated with the firm.
Katherine Hicks has been working as a practice manager and accountant in law firms for over 20 years. She has significant experience in the development and management of financial systems in the legal industry as well as being involved in the Quality Management in Law program throughout her career.
Katherine joined Craddock Murray Neumann in 1998 and has worked hard ever since to ensure that the firm attained and maintains its “5 ticks of Quality” ISO (International Standards Organisation) accreditation. Over the years Katherine has developed her managerial and IT skills, tailoring work processes to assist with the delivery of legal services, including sourcing, developing and “road testing” new software (e.g. our Lexis Nexis “Affinity” matter management system) to increase efficiencies and reduce legal costs to clients.
Katherine is currently studying a Diploma of Practice Management at UNE. Her drive and enthusiasm is a motivating force behind the management team at Craddock Murray Neumann. Her strengths lie in her organisational ability, her grasp of sound business practice, and her willingness to talk fearlessly to the owners of the business and to offer creative suggestions and criticism - both positive and negative.
